World's Oldest Valentine's Day Card

The Royal Mail has revealed images of what is thought to be the world's most expensive Valentine's Day card.

Dating back to 1790, the intricately designed Valentine Card filled with heartfelt messaging would get up to 4,000 Euros if auctioned. That is around $5,258 US dollars.

Today it is currently housed at the British Postal Museum and Archive and they have no plans of selling the card.
The card is a handmade puzzle which unfolds to reveal poetic messages. Very different from today's card with short messages in them.

Just a little history on St. Patrick.

Saint Patrick was kidnapped at age 16 by pirates and sold into slavery.

During his 6 year captivity he found strength in religious faith. After he escaped he studied Religion in Europe. He then traveled to Ireland to spread the Christian word. He used a Shamrock, which resembles a three leaf clover a metaphor to explain the concept of the Trinity.(The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.)

How To Extend Life To Your Flowers

How Do you get more life out of your flowers?

-Keep your vase filled with water containing flower food. Flower foods make flowers last longer but it is important to follow the mixing directions on the flower food packet.

-If you don't have flower food, add a crushed asprin to your water and that should give you a extra few days to the life of your flowers.

-If the flower food solution becomes cloudy, replace it entirely with properly mixed flower food solution. If possible, re-cut stems by removing one to two inches with a sharp knife. Be sure to use a sharp knife or clippers that will not crush the stems. Immediately place the stems into solution.

-Keep flowers in a cool spot (65 to 72 degrees Gahrenheit), away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, directly under ceiling fans, or on top of televisions or radiators. (Appliances like televisions give off heat, which causes flowers to dehydrate.) Most flowers will last longer under cool conditions.
