Thanksgiving is the time to offer thanks and celebrate with family and friends.

Sending flowers on Thanksgiving is the perfect way to show Friends and family you are thinking of them.
What better way to celebrate this holiday than with beautiful Autum bouquet of flowers. This would put all the trimmings on the perfect holiday dinner buffet table.

You can send flowers in fall tones, or a cornucopia or pumpkin filled with flowers. You can also get one of these items filled with your favorite fruit or goodies as well.

These are just a few ideas for sending your loved ones or closest friends flowers for the Thanksgiving season and give Thanks at the same time.

SENDING FLOWERS JUST BECAUSE

People sometimes get the impression that you only send flowers when a birthday comes, someones in the hospital , someone has passed away , or a holiday like Valentines Day or Mothers Day for instance.

A gift of flowers goes a long way. Every woman or man for that matter can remember the last time she or he got flowers sent to them.

Be spontaneous!! Sending flowers to someone unexpected means much more than sending flowers to someone on a Holiday. This will show that special person you are thinking of them today and not just on a holiday.

Try something new. You don't have to send just flowers, pamper her with a day at the Spa,or add some chocolate covered strawberries to your order. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to get this kind of treatment.

We have all kinds of different gift ideas. Visit us at www.raimondisflorist.com
and check out all of our great gifts we have to offer delivered straight to your front door.

Fall Wedding Ideas

Fall is one of the most popular times to plan a wedding. Rich hues with great accents make for a great looking wedding. Here are a few ideas to keep in mind for decorating.

Line your isle with medium or large pumpkins with candles in them to illuminate your way down.

Make the flower girls carry fall leaves instead of rose pedals to throw on the isle. This will make it look like those beautiful fall leaves fell from the trees.

Use small pumpkins as your container for your centerpieces and fill it with all your favorite fall flowers. Use small gourds and acorns as accents to decorate around the centerpieces.

Pile haystacks with different colored mum plants and pumpkins as a backdrop for your guest to take pictures as they enter the reception area. This would be a great keepsake for your guest to have from your big day!

Have fun planning your wedding! Fall has all kinds of inspirational ideas for decorating the perfect fall wedding!

Help Protect Your Garden During a Heatwave

During extreme heat, it's best to keep gardening to a minimum. Plant growth slows down during heat waves, so so as little maintenance as possible until temperatures drop some.

Here are a few tips to help your garden during this Heatwave.

-Don't over water. Plants may become waterlogged and drown. Instead try to water about a inch a water a week.

-Don't prune. Plants slow down by heat and do not need pruning to stimulate growth. Wait until it cools down some to start pruning again.

-Water plants early in the morning to reduce any chance of fungal growth.

-Add a fresh layer of mulch to your garden beds to help retain moisture.

SYMPATHY FLOWERS

Are you thinking about sending flowers to the home?

Sympathy flowers are different than funeral flowers as they do not have a typical funeral feel rather a comfort feel. Sympathy flowers are made to fit perfectly to sit on a table, a counter, or inside a entrance of the home.

The most popular color is white, but it is not uncommon to send more colorful flowers to the home.

Are you thinking about sending flowers to the Funeral Home?

The idea is to send a big enough flower arrangement that it is visible no matter where one is sitting, or standing for the service.

Last but not least you can send a plant.

Whether it is a blooming plant or dish garden, plants are often sent to the services because they are easy to transport back to the residence. Out of all plants the Spath or Peace lily is probably the most popular. Another popular plant is a blooming azalea.

Raimondi's knows how important it is to express your sympathy sentiments.

Our Funeral sprays, hearts, crosses and more are made fresh to customize each order to your needs.

St. Patrick's Day

Just a little history on St. Patrick.

Saint Patrick was kidnapped at age 16 by pirates and sold into slavery.

During his 6 year captivity he found strength in religious faith. After he escaped he studied Religion in Europe. He then traveled to Ireland to spread the Christian word. He used a Shamrock, which resembles a three leaf clover a metaphor to explain the concept of the Trinity.(The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.)

A Representative Of Love

A Representative of love in all terms, the Rose became a popular Valentine's Day flower in the 17th century. Popularity of the Rose as the Valentine's Day flower, stems from the belief that the red rose was the favorite flower of Venus- the Roman goddess of love & beauty.
